Twitch is getting a new look ahead of this year’s Twitchcon in North America, bringing a new logo, new purple color, and new font to the streaming site’s branding.
The new design has been a year in the making, says Byron Phillipson, the company’s executive creative director. The team went deep, he continued, digging into what makes Twitch Twitch. The idea was to future-proof the brand and to better represent its creator community. “I think the important feature is that we’re not tearing everything down,” says Phillipson. “Twitch is a brand that is loved by a lot of people, and we want to be very considerate to our community.” (He did add that the number of people with the Twitch glitch tattoo made the team give the refresh some extra…

One of the highlights of House House’s Untitled Goose Game, the “slapstick-stealth-sandbox” game in which you play a terrible goose wreaking havoc in a lovely English village, is the adaptive soundtrack of Debussy’s Preludes. The playful piano music almost provides a kind of insight into the goose’s mind — the melody plays in quiet, short bursts when it’s up to no good, creeping up on its next victim. When the goose is in full chaos mode, waddling away from the gardener who just wants his keys back, the piano tune plays out in full, encouraging the player to keep up the shenanigans.
Surprisingly, the studio had originally leaned toward having no music in the game until the first trailer was released in 2017. Composer Dan Golding, who…

Yahoo isn’t exactly a popular company these days. But while it’s been down for a long time, it’s not out of the game yet, and today the company is here to remind everyone of that with a new logo that practically screams out (in a newly selected hue of purple): “We still exist and have somehow not imploded like a decayed, hollowed-out husk of a dying oak tree!”
The new logo looks to paint a fresh start for the long-beleaguered company. Designed by Pentagram (the firm behind the bold, sans-serif designs for Citibank, New York City’s OMNY system, and the Cooper Hewitt museum), the new Yahoo logo marks the first redesign for the company since its big overhaul under the leadership of then-CEO Marissa Mayer in 2013.

League of Legends is taking a big step into the world of fashion. Today, developer Riot Games announced a new partnership with Louis Vuitton that will see the famed fashion house design League-themed items for both in the game and in the real world.
Unfortunately, we don’t know what those designs will look like yet, but there will be two main components. First, Louis Vuitton will be creating a bespoke case for the Summoner’s Cup, which is the trophy given out each year to the team that wins the League of Legends World Championship. This year’s event will kick off with play-in games in Berlin on October 2nd, building up to the finals on November 10th in Paris. Riot says that the case “will feature both traditional Louis Vuitton…
