Here’s a designey concept for a combination flashlight/lantern/hanging lamp, by South-Korea-based industrial designers Han Youngseok and Park Jaehyeon.
In its most basic form, it’s a chunky rechargeable LED flashlight.
For lantern mode, one places it on a flat surface and slides the body upwards to reveal an illuminated core.
A magnetically attachable shade renders it suitable for use as a hanging lamp.
The designers have rendered it with the branding of outdoor lighting manufacturer Claymore, but they don’t say whether this was commissioned work or self-driven concept work; the lamp appears nowhere on Claymore’s website.
I don’t think the design matches Claymore’s aesthetic, but I could see this selling well among people that self-identify as “design lovers.”
