Japanese Underdesign? A Minimalist Bulldog Clip

Have you ever had the problem where the black metal part of a bulldog clip obscures some crucial text on the edge of your document?

Me neither. I’ll bet no one has, ever. But that hasn’t stopped the designers of the Zem Clip, which hails from Japan and is marketed with this simple line:

“It is a clip that does not hide the sandwiched part.”

These run 88 yen (79 cents) on the Japanese retailer Tokyu Hands’ website.
