A notch above pandemic-based cabincore fantasies people have, is Hollywood superstar cabincore. Tom Cruise is apparently selling his Colorado retreat outside of Telluride, a/k/a 115 Francisco Way, a 320-acre retreat with a custom 10,000-square-foot home that he presumably bought with “Top Gun” and “Days of Thunder” money. (He reportedly purchased the land in ‘94, before “show me the money” and impossible missions came about.)
Ever-discreet Sotheby’s, who’s handling the sale, doesn’t mention Maverick in the listing:
“Luxury meets legend at this 320-acre Telluride ranch, custom built for privacy, where unspoiled natural beauty, sweeping mountain vistas and outdoor recreation abound. This legacy estate, the realization of years of planning and vision, sits at the top of an escarpment overlooking the most breathtaking alpine views imaginable. In addition to a nearly 10,000-square-foot main house, clad in bleached cedar timbers and native stone, is a three-bedroom guest lodge nestled in the aspen groves, met by dramatic viewpoints that capture the rolling hills and snowcapped peaks beyond.
"Enveloped in mountain majesty and boasting extensive forested trails, this secluded estate – accessed via a scenic one-mile drive from a secure gated entry – is only minutes from historic downtown Telluride for world-class skiing and golf. Seize the moment and realize your legacy at this iconic mountain sanctuary.”
There’s footage of the upstairs “Master Wing” in the video below:
I’m digging that they’ve got that separate guest lodge where you can house P.A.’s who snore.
115 Francisco Way is up on the block for $39,500,000.
