Scholarship Funded by CNCMachines.com is Open to Industrial Design Students

Those of you who are still in school and undergoing remote learning may be concerned that you’re not getting enough bang for your buck. But there’s one way you can make your tuition $2,500 lighter: Apply for the 2021 Manufacturing Scholarship sponsored by CNCMachines.com, a retailer of used CNC machines. They take applications for the annual scholarship beginning every September and pay out in May of the following year.

“The CNCMachines.com scholarship is a yearly scholarship awarded to exceptional students working towards a degree or certification in manufacturing, engineering, or related fields. Applicable degrees* include certifications, certificates, associates, bachelors or masters.”

Open now, the application process ends on March 26th, 2021. Applicants have to write an original essay (1,000 to 1,300 words) on one of the following questions:

1. What are some of the strategies the manufacturing industry should implement in order to grow its need for workers?
2.What evolving technologies can manufacturers adapt in their manufacturing process that can help them grow production without large financial impact?
3. What are some ways manufacturing companies can attract overseas contracts in order to increase the amount of new work for manufacturers?

While these aren’t your typical ID school bread-and-butter conversation topics, they’re certainly relevant topics that you could discuss with your professors.

*And don’t worry, we’ve reached out to CNCMachines.com to confirm that students majoring in Industrial Design are eligible to apply.
