Birsel thankfully knows this, and has been hosting an ongoing series of free “Design the Life You Love” Virtual Teas on Zoom to engage with other creatives on the methodologies of the book. “Virtual Teas are a great way to check out how you can design the life you love,” Birsel says. “We’ll guide you to think creatively about your life, visualize it, and get inspired about the next steps.”
“Ayse’s ‘Design the Life You Love’ virtual tea party is a magical and magnificent way to spend an hour of quarantine with a friendly, supportive global audience,” says designer Heike Rapp.
“I found it refreshing to work on constructive introspection via quick sketching exercises, rich conversation, and learning from a wise person. Ayse and team have figured out a way to transcend the limitations of the virtual medium. When her friend talked us through a meditation session, I appreciated the friend’s words entering directly into my head via headphones. You don’t get closeness like that by sitting in a large studio with an instructor.”
Tomorrow (Wednesday, Aug. 26th) at 3pm EDT is the 23rd Virtual Tea, this time with guest Cindy Allen, Editor in Chief of Interior Design. You can sign up for free at the link below:
