Collapsible, Reusable Water Bottle Gets 500% Funded on Kickstarter

Design entrepreneurs, take note: The value of the U.S. reusable water bottle market is forecast to be $1.23 billion this year, according to Statista, and will hit $1.48 billion in five years. And while reusable bottles cost as little as five dollars, with design as a differentiator you can charge a lot more.

Case in point is the DiFOLD Origami Bottle, which is going for $30 on Kickstarter. Designed to collapse nearly flat (except for the stainless steel cap and neck), it’s made from TPE and is “closed-loop recyclable,” i.e. it can be recycled to the same quality.

At press time the DiFOLD had been over 500% funded, with $81,333 in pledges on a $15,000 goal, with 23 days left to pledge. $81,333 is just a tiny slice of that $1.23 billion market, so there’s still plenty of room left for you.
