Even before the pandemic, it had become increasingly rare for Americans to set foot inside another person’s home (unless you’re armed and wearing a ski mask). And on the rare occasions when you were invited to someone’s house, it was common courtesy to find something nice to say about it.
Home inspectors have the opposite task. They enter other people’s homes all the time and are required to discover the worst things about the place, as seen below:
