Our Favorite Design Features of the 2019 GMC Sierra

GMC’s Sierra 1500 Denali is a top-of-the-line full-size pickup truck. It first caught our eye when GMC’s designers came up with that crazy multifunctional tailgate. The truck isn’t cheap; it’s $67,000 and marketed as a luxury vehicle. Which begs the question: What is it like using this truck for actual work?

I recently had the chance to find out, both because I now live on a farm and because GMC was willing to lend me the truck (as well as its more off-road minded stablemate, the Sierra 1500 AT4) for a hands-on review.

I used both trucks to prosecute various tasks on the property, and through practical use, figured out what I liked and didn’t like about each of them. I put together a video, below, capturing the experience. The first half of the video is me using the trucks, and the second half is me breaking down 12 notable design features. It’s 23 minutes long total, so I also posted a shorter version, around ten minutes, that only shows the design details.
