Here’s a Low-Cost Way to Exhibit Your Work at Milan Design Week

Milan Design Week 2019 is quickly approaching, and in an attempt to democratize the exhibition cost and process, our friends at ExpoWanted have put together a competition that will select 10 designers to exhibit at Ventura Projects in the heart of Tortona Design District. You have until February 28 to submit your work to be considered for this opportunity. It’s free to apply until you are approved and make it to the second round of the competition, where you will be asked to pay 50 euros for early bird and 150 euros after the early bird period has expired. Both designs in production and prototypes are accepted. Judging will be based on: aesthetics, usability, market potential, sustainability, innovation and originality.

50 projects out of the total submissions will be selected to go to a community vote on Instagram and on the official website of ExpoWanted. Following the community vote, 7 projects will be chosen by ExpoWanted’s jury panel, and 3 projects will be selected based on the community vote. Those 10 projects will be exhibited at Ventura Projects from April 9-14 during Milan Design Week.

While this competition is not completely free, it does significantly reduce the cost of exhibiting in Milan and the stress that comes along with handling logistics.
