Following from our recent story on MeError project by Leonardo Magrelli, which puts an interesting spin on our relationship with mirrors, we round up a selection of magnificent contemporary statement mirrors that have caught our attention.

These shiny, reflective and often sculptural objects are not only alluring as physical items. Mirrors are also deeply linked to symbolism, myths and legends, which explains our eternal fascination with them.

Physically, mirrors reflect light and by doing so, they also reflect the world around us. Spiritually, light has symbolic references to awareness and wisdom. In a similar vein, mirrors show us what is. They reflect the truth. In psychology, mirrors represent the threshold between the conscious mind and the unconscious mind. This list could go on and on, and on, until the break of dawn…
