This comparison of satellite images from November 2016 to ones captured a few days ago on September 16th shows the destruction of Thea Chaung Pyu Su Village in Myanmar. Recent news reports suggest 252 buildings in the village were deliberately burned by the Burmese military.
This strategy is believed to have been central to the Burmese military’s ethnic cleansing campaign against the Rohingya Muslim population in the country’s Rakhine State.
