Devastating floods caused by Hurricane Harvey are seen here in Houston, Texas, USA. With these before and after images, you can see the flooding that occurred around the San Jacinto River east of the city. Over a four-day period last week, many areas of Houston received more than 40 inches (1,000 mm) of rain, causing torrential floods that inundated hundreds of thousands of homes, displaced more than 30,000 people, and prompted more than 17,000 rescues.
