The Museum of Ice Cream kicked off in New York in 2016 to a wait list of 200,000 people. This time it’s hit the West Coast and has opened it’s doors in sunny Los Angeles. It’s four times larger than the original installation and people, unsurprisingly, went mad for it!

Complete with a swimmable pool filled with one hundred million multi coloured sprinkles, rooms with giant popsicles and a banana split installation comprising of ten thousand bananas, it’s hard to imagine which delight to indulge in first.

The Museum curated the best selection of ice cream and yes, that means physically tasting each and every saccharine morsel. Throughout its residency, the Museum showcased on rotation one “scoop of the week” from coveted creameries in California from the likes of McConnell’s, Salt & Straw, Coolhaus x Cuisinart and CREAM.

But they didn’t stop there. The Museum, in collaboration with scientists at International Flavours & Fragrances, developed ice cream inspired scents and flavours, the creation of which has lead to over 30 new ice cream products. And what’s not to love about science and sugar? Even the grown ups among us have an excuse to indulge in the childhood delight of licking the deliciously cold dessert.
