Over the years, the Secret Service has had to do the grim math of what procedures to have in place should there be an attack on the Presidential motorcade. This has led to a fascinating array of offensive capabilities, defensive countermeasures and tactical plans. The crazy logistics–which can get the President from the door of the White House to the UN building in New York City in just one hour–are staggering.
