Minimal Water-Repellent Backpacks Made From Paper

It’s not often you see material experimentation in the realm of functional backpacks, which is why these sleek—and delightfully crumbly—backpacks from sustainable Berlin-based company, [paper.] caught our eye:

The classic silhouette of [paper.]’s the [square.] backpack is one that can be worn any time of year, and its waterproof paper material allows it to be worn in any weather condition due to its leather-like properties.

The the [square.] bag itself isn’t very flashy—in fact, it’s quite understated—but its unique material along with the company’s pledge to remain transparent and sustainable speaks loud and clear. Also digging the hemp based straps—it’s nice to see sustainability reaching all parts of the bag!

[paper.] has already met their goal on Kickstarter, but there’s still three days left to help make their sustainable dreams come true

If you donate $21 or more to their campaign, [paper.] will plant 10 trees!
