England experienced an extraordinary heatwave this week (it’s already over, don’t worry) and these teenagers found a genius form of protest against school rules.
After being punished for wearing shorts on the hottest day so far this year, four year nine pupils at Brighton’s Longhill High School showed up the next day wearing skirts.
The cheeky pupils opted for the agreed official uniform — a pleated navy skirt — in order to evade school protocol.
And it worked.
