Following on from the commercial success of its homeware collection, JamFactory has developed a new Furniture Collection that includes some of Australia’s most celebrated designers and a selection of emerging training Associates. Along with fostering opportunities for the designers involved, the Collection aims to create real commercial opportunities for the South Australian manufacturing industry.
For over 40 years, JamFactory has been launching the careers of skilled artists, designers and craftspeople through its unique training program and exhibitions, publications and retail operations. The newly launched JamFactory Furniture Collection is the latest initiative in support of the organisation’s aim to continue to raise awareness of and stimulate opportunity for Australian design and craftsmanship.
The Collection offers furniture and lighting that has been developed under the creative direction of one of Australia’s leading designers and current head of JamFactory’s Furniture Studio, Jon Goulder. Informed by the process of making, the natural beauty of materials and the craftsperson’s attention to detail, The Collection is expected to include new product releases each year.
Goulder goes on to add this project will “create opportunities for JamFactory’s training Associates, from pitching new designs for consideration through to hands-on involvement in design development, prototyping and presenting works to market.” Massive tick from Team Yellowtrace.
The collection can be purchased online here.
