Announcing the Visual Communication Honorees for the 2016 Core77 Design Awards

Every brand, every logo, every piece of art, is an attempt to communicate something complex in the most succinct, digestible way possible. A visual needs to make an immediate and enduring impact, which is why every aspect is meticulously crafted by the designer to allow the viewer to see beyond the image, to the essential message and meaning beneath. For our Visual Communication category, we asked for “All visual and graphic design, branding and identity projects for print, digital or physical environments.”

Captaining the Visual Communication Jury was Mackey Saturday, Principal at Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv. Joining him on the Visual Communication Jury Team was Lotta Nieminen, Founder of Lotta Nieminen Studio, Roanne Adams, founder of RoAndCo, and Ryan Essmaker, an Editorial and Creative Director.

The Jury Team was impressed by the entries, and, in particular, aimed to honor projects that were, “experimental, dynamic, and confident.”
