We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again… For us, good design is so much more than the sparkly end result. The story, the site, the client and most importantly, the process, excite us just as much as the final design solution. Which is why we always do our best to hustle for these assets, not just the glossy pictures. This brings us to today’s post – Chiado Apartment in Lisbon by super-talented Portuguese studio, Fala Atelier.
The interior design ticks every box – it’s original, playful, unique to the site and fully resolved. Soft curves in the planning give the space a dynamic youth, and we love the gradient of blues and peachy-toned palette.
After looking at this project, we couldn’t help but dig a little deeper to discover Fala’s amazing skills in visual communication – can you deal with their collages? Incredible! David Hockney-esque in their composition and palette, it’s hands down the most appealingly playful form of visual communication we’ve ever seen. And it’s not just the fact they look good, they are hugely effective in capturing and communicating the spirited energy, personality and essence of the design. Hats off to Fala Atelier, big legends in our eyes.
