Get ready to swoon over a beautiful new dessert, the macaron donut

Possibly the only thing better than macarons and donuts are when the two are smashed together into one perfect dessert.

Famed pastry chef Francois Payard is the genius behind this new sweet: the macaron donut.

“[Francois] has been inspired a lot lately with the American food trend of ‘hybrids’, and wanted to experiment with it while still staying true to his French roots,” a representative for Payard told Mashable in an email.
