Through projects like Pauline van Dongen’s Solar Shirt (pictured above) she will analyze how wearable technology relates to identity, how it can bring about social impact, and practical ways for making wearable tech a competitive branch of the fashion industry

In Act of Artwork, Korean artist and designer Hun Chung Lee will present over forty new works, ranging in scale and function from traditional stools and benches to wall-mounted installations, and including lights, mirrors and hooks, all celebrating Lee’s joyful, meditative process of making.

Architect and researcher David Nixon will explore its design, construction and history during International Space Station: Architecture Beyond Earth, untangling the breadth of political, diplomatic, financial and technological threads that led to the ISS.

Nnamdi Elleh: Reflections on the “Architecture of Independence” will present research on the modern buildings in 5 newly independent African countries: Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Kenya, Senegal and Zambia. Along the way, Elleh will explore the role of the collective and the individual in a post-colonial era and expand on the challenges that lie ahead.

Newly opened at Wellesley College’s Davis Museum, The Game Worlds of Jason Rohrer is the first retrospective to explore the work of a video game artist. The exhibition features four large build-outs that translate Rohrer’s games into unique spatial experiences, alongside a section dedicated to exploring a large body of his work.

Endless House: Intersections of Art and Architecture will be closing at MoMA this weekend. The exhibit explores the single-family home and archetypes of dwelling as themes that have been continuously reinterpreted by both architects and artists, globally and across generations.
