A Wild Elephant Makes a Destructive Run Through an Indian City (10 photos)

A wild elephant wandered into the streets and alleys of Siliguri, India, today, leaving behind a trail of startled residents, damaged structures, trampled cars, and smashed motorbikes. The panicked adult male elephant was soon cornered by wildlife officials, shot with a tranquilizer dart, then transported back to the nearby Baikunthapur forest. No injuries were reported.
