In this, the latest entry in a semi-regular series on China, an anti-terrorism drill, terrible smog in Beijing, the decline of steel production, the view from a rooftop bubble tram, a mummified monk, a 14th century walled village slated for demolition, and much more. This collection offers only a small view of people and places across the country over the past few months.
