Furniture brand Rue Monsieur Paris commandeers a Seine side apartment in Paris

Bright, opulent and immaculately finished, the Seine-side apartment of Rue Monsieur Paris co founders, Marjan Denkov and Marcin Kokowski, is a bricks and mortar embodiment of their furniture brand’s spirit.

Conceived entirely by Denkov, who serves as the label’s artistic director, the apartment is deliberately designed to highlight Rue Monsieur Paris' handcrafted furniture creations as well as Denkov’s fine art, which decorates the walls.

In keeping with the brand’s refined furniture collections, which feature marble marquetry, wooden inlay and glossy resin finishes, every last detail in the left bank apartment has been carefully considered. Bespoke features include custom made radiators designed specially for the space by Denkov and Zavar Design; lights by Portuguese lighting brand Delightfull; a handmade royal blue silk rug by New York’s Classic Rug Collection Company and a brass, corian and wood office desk by Belgrade-based studio Dsignedby. Fabrics are from Thevenon and Lelièvre, bed bath and linens are courtesy of official palace hotels supplier Magbé Camara, while the secant of Dr. Vranjes home fragrances fill the air.

With an established network of distributors already in place, Denkov and Kokowski are clear that this is not a showroom space, instead the apartment offers select guests an immersive brand experience. ‘The idea was to showcase our pieces in a space that was entirely conceived for this purpose,’ says Kokowski. ‘Above all it is a living space where we receive our guests sharing a glass of champagne admiring the shimmering Eiffel Tower while on the terrace.’
