Acura’s Precision concept puts a modern spin on design

DETROIT — Acura just got a lot more interesting. That’s because it’s shown a new way forward for its future car designs in the form of the Precision concept unveiled Tuesday at the North American International Auto Show

The muscular and bright metallic red car riding on 22-inch wheels is the newest iteration of the Japanese luxury brand’s “Precision Crafted Performance” DNA, but it now incorporates a design theme called “quantum continuum.”

Throwing the chrome beak of its current cars into the waste bin, the Precision concept embraces modern design with a wide stance and crisp lines. Importantly, however, it also incorporates organic sculpture. Read more…
