Though it seems like most people have fully embraced AirPods, let us not forget our roots, and the fact that all of us were once victims to the wired, messy cable life. These tangled Apple EarPod earrings by artists Aleia Murawski and Samuel Copeland serve as a humbling reminder of from where we came. The statement piece, first put on our radar by XOXO Festival co-founder Andy Baio, sells for $40 on the duo’s merch shop, Beef’s World.

The story behind the earrings tells the sweet moment when the artists were inspired by a stranger on the subway listening to music on his tangled headphones. On the item listing, the duo describes their creation as Chaotic Spiral Headphone Earrings, which is a fair way to describe them.

Wacom is launching its $399 Wacom One creative pen display at CES, its most affordable tablet to date. The 13-inch display works with macOS and Windows devices, in addition to an unexpected new compatibility: Android devices.

Wacom says there are no plans to add iPhone compatibility yet, but at that point, wouldn’t you just get an iPad? The same argument could go for Android tablets. However, the Wacom One could come in handy for people who have Android phones, but not laptops. There are illustration apps like Autodesk SketchBook that could give artists the flexibility to work while connected to their phones, too. Mercedes-Benz has just pulled the wraps off of a wild new concept car that was inspired by the 2009 movie Avatar called — what else? — the Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR. Designed with help from Avatar director James Cameron, this car is not the sequel that Cameron has promised. Instead, the AVTR concept car is a mix of everything that the Consumer Electronics Show is known for: outlandish styling, far-off future tech, and a tie-in with a major entertainment property. Oh, and it has scales!

Yes, the entire rear end of the AVTR is covered in 33 discrete scales — or as Mercedes-Benz calls them, “bionic flaps” — that the company says could be used to communicate with people outside the car. It also has special spherical wheels that…

Sony revealed the PlayStation 5’s logo (aka the PS5) during its CES 2020 press conference on Monday evening alongside the announcement that Sony has sold more than 5 million PlayStation VR headsets since the device launched in October 2016. Additionally, Sony says it has sold 104 million PS4 units, which makes it the second best-selling game console in history behind the PS2. (The PS2 has a lifetime sales record of 158 million units, making it highly likely that the PS4 won’t catch up before the PS5 launches.)

The logo looks exactly as expected, with Sony once again following in the footsteps of the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4’s logos for the PS5. The only real difference here is the number. The font is the same, and there are no…

Three years after Yukai Engineering’s headless robotic cat first wagged its way into our hearts, the therapy pillow is getting a smaller, portable sibling called the Petit Qoobo. Like its predecessor, the Petit Qoobo is meant for seniors in nursing homes or people who can’t own pets because of allergies or apartment rules but still want the loving embrace of a soft, cuddly friend.
